Isaiah 41:17
When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
Genesis 21:14–19
And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer–sheba. And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
Isaiah 44:3 I
*... I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:*
Psalms 107:31
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Psalms 77:1, 20; 78:20 (to ;), 35
I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. ... Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. ... Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; ... And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.
John 8:1, 2
Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
John 4:6, 7, 9, 10, 13–15 Whosoever
Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. ... Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. ... Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
Matthew 9:27–30 (to ;), 32, 33, 35, 36
*¶ And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened; ... ¶ As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. ... And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. ¶ But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.*
John 10:7 (to 4th ,), 14 (to 2nd ,), 16 3rd and
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, ... I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, ... and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Isaiah 43:3 I (to :), 10 (to 2nd ,), 10 before, 11
*... I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: ... Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, ... before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.*
Psalms 103:2, 3 2nd who, 4

SCIENCE AND HEALTH
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 1:-1
Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him. — CHRIST JESUS.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 7:23 The
The "divine ear" is not an auditory nerve. It is the all-hearing and all-knowing Mind, to whom each need of man is always known and by whom it will be supplied.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 17:14
For God is infinite, all-power, all Life, Truth, Love, over all, and All.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 587:5 (only, to 1st ,), 6 all-acting (only, to 1st ,), 6 all-loving (only, to 1st ;)
GOD. The great I AM; the all-knowing, ... all-acting, ... all-loving, and eternal; ...
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 336:23–26, 30
Allness is the measure of the infinite, and nothing less can express God. XXIV. God, the divine Principle of man, and man in God's likeness are inseparable, harmonious, and eternal. ... God is the parent Mind, and man is God's spiritual offspring.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 587:19 (only, to .), 19 Spirit
GOOD. ... Spirit; omnipotence; omniscience; omnipresence; omni-action.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 267:3–4, 5–6, 8–9, 10
The offspring of God start not from matter or ephemeral dust. ... God is one. The allness of Deity is His oneness. ... It is generally conceded that God is Father, eternal, self-created, infinite. ... The great I AM made all "that was made." Hence man and the spiritual universe coexist with God.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 234:9–12
We should become more familiar with good than with evil, and guard against false beliefs as watchfully as we bar our doors against the approach of thieves and murderers.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 328:4–5, 20–25, 30
Mortals suppose that they can live without goodness, when God is good and the only real Life. ... Understanding spiritual law and knowing that there is no material law, Jesus said: "These signs shall follow them that believe, . . . they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." ... The purpose of his great life-work extends through time and includes universal humanity. Its Principle is infinite, reaching beyond the pale of a single period or of a limited following. As time moves on, the healing elements of pure Christianity will be fairly dealt with; they will be sought and taught, and will glow in all the grandeur of universal goodness.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, pp. 108:30–9
My discovery, that erring, mortal, misnamed mind produces all the organism and action of the mortal body, set my thoughts to work in new channels, and led up to my demonstration of the proposition that Mind is All and matter is naught as the leading factor in Mind-science. Christian Science reveals incontrovertibly that Mind is All-in-all, that the only realities are the divine Mind and idea. This great fact is not, however, seen to be supported by sensible evidence, until its divine Principle is demonstrated by healing the sick and thus proved absolute and divine.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 113:9–11, 16–20
The fundamental propositions of divine metaphysics are summarized in the four following, to me, self-evident propositions. ... 1. God is All-in-all. 2. God is good. Good is Mind. 3. God, Spirit, being all, nothing is matter. 4. Life, God, omnipotent good, deny death, evil, sin, disease.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 275:6–24
The starting-point of divine Science is that God, Spirit, is All-in-all, and that there is no other might nor Mind, — that God is Love, and therefore He is divine Principle. To grasp the reality and order of being in its Science, you must begin by reckoning God as the divine Principle of all that really is. Spirit, Life, Truth, Love, combine as one, — and are the Scriptural names for God. All substance, intelligence, wisdom, being, immortality, cause, and effect belong to God. These are His attributes, the eternal manifestations of the infinite divine Principle, Love. No wisdom is wise but His wisdom; no truth is true, no love is lovely, no life is Life but the divine; no good is, but the good God bestows. Divine metaphysics, as revealed to spiritual understanding, shows clearly that all is Mind, and that Mind is God, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, — that is, all power, all presence, all Science. Hence all is in reality the manifestation of Mind.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 445:5–8, 19–21
No hypothesis as to the existence of another power should interpose a doubt or fear to hinder the demonstration of Christian Science. ... Christian Science silences human will, quiets fear with Truth and Love, and illustrates the unlabored motion of the divine energy in healing the sick.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 426:9–11, 14–19
The struggle for Truth makes one strong instead of weak, resting instead of wearying one. ... Man should renew his energies and endeavors, and see the folly of hypocrisy, while also learning the necessity of working out his own salvation. When it is learned that disease cannot destroy life, and that mortals are not saved from sin or sickness by death, this understanding will quicken into newness of life.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 283:4–11 (to 1st .)
Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action. Mind is the same Life, Love, and wisdom "yesterday, and to-day, and forever." Matter and its effects — sin, sickness, and death — are states of mortal mind which act, react, and then come to a stop. They are not facts of Mind. They are not ideas, but illusions.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 201:17–18
The way to extract error from mortal mind is to pour in truth through flood-tides of Love.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 13:2
Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals. It is the open fount which cries, "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters."
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, pp. 263:7–10; 264:7, 15–21
When mortal man blends his thoughts of existence with the spiritual and works only as God works, he will no longer grope in the dark and cling to earth because he has not tasted heaven. ... Mortals must look beyond fading, finite forms, if they would gain the true sense of things. Where shall the gaze rest but in the unsearchable realm of Mind? We must look where we would walk, and we must act as possessing all power from Him in whom we have our being. ... When we realize that Life is Spirit, never in nor of matter, this understanding will expand into self-completeness, finding all in God, good, and needing no other consciousness. Spirit and its formations are the only realities of being. Matter disappears under the microscope of Spirit.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 496:15
Hold perpetually this thought, — that it is the spiritual idea, the Holy Ghost and Christ, which enables you to demonstrate, with scientific certainty, the rule of healing, based upon its divine Principle, Love, underlying, overlying, and encompassing all true being.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 554:6 2nd being
*... being and Deity are inseparable.*
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 249:6–8
Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life and recognizing no mortal nor material power as able to destroy.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 503:12–15
Divine Science, the Word of God, saith to the darkness upon the face of error, "God is All-in-all," and the light of ever-present Love illumines the universe.
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 494:10–11
Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.
HYMNS
Christian Science Hymnal, No. 330
The King of Love my Shepherd is, / Whose goodness faileth never; / I nothing lack, for I am His / And He is mine forever. Where streams of living water flow / My ransomed soul He leadeth, / And where the verdant pastures grow, / With food celestial feedeth. Perverse and foolish oft I strayed, / But yet in love He sought me, / And on His shoulder gently laid, / And home, rejoicing, brought me. And so through all the length of days / Thy goodness faileth never; / Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise / Within Thy house forever.
Christian Science Hymnal, No. 267
Our God is All-in-all, / His children cannot fear; / See baseless evil fall, / And know that God is here. Our God is All; in space / No subtle error creeps; / We see Truth's glowing face, / And Love that never sleeps. We see creative Mind, / The Principle, the Life; / And Soul and substance find, / But never discord, strife. O, Perfect and Divine, / We hear Thy loving call, / And seek no earthly shrine / But crown Thee Lord of all.
Christian Science Hymnal, No. 469
Eternal God, the Cause of all creation, / Your goodness shines through all eternity. / From age to age Your name has been exalted, / Your glory fills the earth, the sky, and sea. / Almighty One, creative Mind, our Maker, / Which was, and is, and evermore shall be. Dear God of love, eternal Father-Mother, / Supply our need, our every need each day; / Teach us to love the way You love Your children, / Purge us from sin and self, with trust we pray: / "Thy kingdom come," in all earth as in heaven, / You are our light, our guide, our hope, our stay. Your Word of truth is ever our companion; / We are assured Your healing love is here. / Help us to prove, as Jesus proved before us, / Truth casts out sin, disease, and death, and fear. / And may Your Word abide with us forever, / O Lord of life, of truth, and love, most dear.
