BIBLE

The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
(Psalms 29:11)

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
(Psalms 119:165)

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. ...

They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. ...

Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; ...

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. ...

O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. ...

I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, ...

Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; ...
(Psalms 119:1, 3, 88 (to ;), 89, 97, 112 (to ,), 128 (to ;))

He maketh peace in thy borders, ...
(Psalms 147:14 (to ,))

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
(Psalms 122:7)

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: ...

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. ...

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
(Isaiah 11:1–4 (to :), 6, 7, 9)

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
(Philippians 2:1–5)

And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, ...

And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
(Mark 4:1, 2, 35–39)

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. ...

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. ...

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. ...

Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. ...

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
(I John 4:1, 7, 11, 13, 21)

¶ And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
(Luke 10:25–37)

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
(Romans 13:8)

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
(James 3:18)

Let brotherly love continue. ...

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; ...
(Hebrews 13:1, 20, 21 (to ;))

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
(Ephesians 4:4–6)

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. ...

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. ...

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. ...

... they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, ...

The righteous shall see it, ...

... they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
(Psalms 107:1–6, 14, 19, 20, 28 they, 29 (to ,), 42 (to ,), 43 they)

... the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
(II Thessalonians 3:16 the)

SCIENCE & HEALTH

Harmonious action proceeds from Spirit, God. Inharmony has no Principle; its action is erroneous and presupposes man to be in matter.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 480:13–16)

Where the spirit of God is, and there is no place where God is not, evil becomes nothing, ...
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 480:2–4 (to 2nd ,))

HEAVEN. Harmony; the reign of Spirit; government by divine Principle; spirituality; bliss; the atmosphere of Soul.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 587:25)

This material world is even now becoming the arena for conflicting forces. On one side there will be discord and dismay; on the other side there will be Science and peace. The breaking up of material beliefs may seem to be famine and pestilence, want and woe, sin, sickness, and death, which assume new phases until their nothingness appears.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 96:12–18)

Love will finally mark the hour of harmony, and spiritualization will follow, for Love is Spirit.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 96:4–5)

It is unwise to doubt if reality is in perfect harmony with God, divine Principle, — if Science, when understood and demonstrated, will destroy all discord, — since you admit that God is omnipotent; for from this premise it follows that good and its sweet concords have all-power.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 130:9)

If thought is startled at the strong claim of Science for the supremacy of God, or Truth, and doubts the supremacy of good, ought we not, contrariwise, to be astounded at the vigorous claims of evil and doubt them, and no longer think it natural to love sin and unnatural to forsake it, — no longer imagine evil to be ever-present and good absent?
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 130:26–32)

Sickness should not seem so real as health. There is no error in Science, and our lives must be governed by reality in order to be in harmony with God, the divine Principle of all being.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 131:2)

Mind’s control over the universe, including man, is no longer an open question, but is demonstrable Science. Jesus illustrated the divine Principle and the power of immortal Mind by healing sickness and sin and destroying the foundations of death.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 171:12)

Moral and spiritual might belong to Spirit, who holds the “wind in His fists;” and this teaching accords with Science and harmony. In Science, you can have no power opposed to God, and the physical senses must give up their false testimony. Your influence for good depends upon the weight you throw into the right scale. The good you do and embody gives you the only power obtainable. Evil is not power. It is a mockery of strength, which erelong betrays its weakness and falls, never to rise.

We walk in the footsteps of Truth and Love by following the example of our Master in the understanding of divine metaphysics. Christianity is the basis of true healing. Whatever holds human thought in line with unselfed love, receives directly the divine power.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 192:17–31)

Nothing can hide from them the harmony of all things and the might and permanence of Truth.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 215:1)

There is neither place nor opportunity in Science for error of any sort. Every day makes its demands upon us for higher proofs rather than professions of Christian power.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, pp. 232:32–2)

There is but one way to heaven, harmony, and Christ in divine Science shows us this way. ...

... In patient obedience to a patient God, let us labor to dissolve with the universal solvent of Love the adamant of error, — self-will, self-justification, and self-love, — which wars against spirituality and is the law of sin and death.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 242:9–10, 15 In)

When the divine precepts are understood, they unfold the foundation of fellowship, in which one mind is not at war with another, but all have one Spirit, God, one intelligent source, in accordance with the Scriptural command: “Let this Mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Man and his Maker are correlated in divine Science, and real consciousness is cognizant only of the things of God.

The realization that all inharmony is unreal brings objects and thoughts into human view in their true light, and presents them as beautiful and immortal. Harmony in man is as real and immortal as in music. Discord is unreal and mortal.

If God is admitted to be the only Mind and Life, there ceases to be any opportunity for sin and death. When we learn in Science how to be perfect even as our Father in heaven is perfect, thought is turned into new and healthy channels, — towards the contemplation of things immortal and away from materiality to the Principle of the universe, including harmonious man.

Material beliefs and spiritual understanding never mingle. The latter destroys the former. Discord is the nothingness named error. Harmony is the somethingness named Truth.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 276:4–28)

God creates and governs the universe, including man. The universe is filled with spiritual ideas, which He evolves, and they are obedient to the Mind that makes them.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 295:5–8)

Unless the harmony and immortality of man are becoming more apparent, we are not gaining the true idea of God; and the body will reflect what governs it, whether it be Truth or error, understanding or belief, Spirit or matter. Therefore “acquaint now thyself with Him, and be at peace.”
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 324:7–12)

God never endowed matter with power to disable Life or to chill harmony with a long and cold night of discord.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 378:26–28)

The real jurisdiction of the world is in Mind, controlling every effect and recognizing all causation as vested in divine Mind.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 379:6)

Christian Science, rightly understood, leads to eternal harmony.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 338:1–2)

God’s being is infinity, freedom, harmony, and boundless bliss.
(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 481:3–4)
